So how was your New Year's Eve? One very young lady entered our world minutes into 2022

Were you out and about enjoying all the traditional New Year's Eve festivities? The Bismarck Event Center finally had a chance to host a fun-filled gala ( which was canceled last year ). I was one of many that tried to stay awake but fell somewhat short. On an extremely cold night here in Bismarck, people were out enjoying the final hours of 2021. I heard fireworks blasting off into the sky in my neighborhood as early as 10:30. Just minutes after the "3-2-1 Happy New Year!" was heard all around Bismarck/Mandan, a young girl was waiting in the wings to make her debut.

Have you ever met anyone that was the first official baby of the New Year?

Champagne and party hats were still present all around town when over at the Sanford Medical Center a beautiful young baby girl was born. According to The Bismarck Tribune "Jo'halaniJane Wolford was born at 12:11 a.m. Saturday to parents Jeannyann Dejapa and Joel Wolford" The first baby born in Bismarck in the brand new 2022 year! The proud family is from Guam, and everyone was eagerly awaiting Jo'halaniJane Wolford's arrival.

Video chat provided everyone to greet their newest family member

The Bismarck Tribune added "..Jo'halaniJane's siblings met her via video chat Saturday morning, as they are staying with relatives" So from all of us here in Bismarck/Mandan, welcome! What an amazing start to the new year, no word yet whether she was given the key to the city :)
