Spectacular World Record Fireworks Attempt Tonight In ND
Look...it doesn't matter one bit that we are in winter season - temps dropping
Today, December 31st - New Year's Eve - and what a great way to kick off the New Year than hopefully setting a World Record in Mott, North Dakota. All the action will kick off around 10 pm. According to kfyrtv.com "Pyrotechnics professional Garrison Risner will attempt to break the world record for launching the most oversized fireworks ever, simultaneously. The event will benefit the Great Plains Food Bank Backpack Program. Risner says to break the record, he plans to launch 12 firework shells that are 16 inches wide and weigh between 40 and 50 pounds each. To keep people safe, the shells will be buried four to five feet in the ground before ignition" Risner said "...get there early - expect to see something you have probably never seen in North Dakota"

Of course, you can see the professionals set off a tremendous sky show at Bismarck Lark's games during the summer. Always think SAFETY when you are around fireworks.
As usual, there are places that are obviously not intended for a fireworks extravaganza
This is a common problem for some people, they lose track of where they are, and they start hearing fireworks kicking off in the nearby skies, and they are anxious to begin their fun! Caution and good old level-headed thinking are to be observed...Here are at least 5 places you don't want to be at to light off your display...
