Previously we reported that there was the potential for a major snowstorm later this week. Things seem less bleak now.

The National Weather Service reports that snow accumulations will be less than originally projected and most of the heavy snow will fall to the extreme southern portions of the state as well as to the east.

It's still going to be cold though with temperatures during the day to be in the 30s.

What we are most likely to see is a mix of rain and snow throughout the day Thursday, with possible snow accumulations Thursday night which can be anywhere from one to three inches.

Friday it will be cloudy.

So things will be ugly and cold but one would think any snow that accumulates Thursday night into Friday morning should be cleared by mid-morning on Friday and we'll be good to go.
