One of the best qualities of North Dakota is the caring and support the community gives when asked to support one of their own.  This is the case for Doug Bichler who was injured in a farming accident Monday. (June 26th)

The accident happened in Linton, N.D. and involved a baler, which severely injured Doug Bichler's arm. The accident was so sever, Doug was airlifted to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN. On Tuesday, he had surgery and his arm was amputated just below his shoulder. He is expected to have more surgeries this week.

Doug is married to his wife Maria and they are expecting their first child in August. He is the owner of Bichler Simmentals. He is a graduate from NDSU in 2002 with a degree in Animal and Range Science.

The family has started a You-Caring Fund Page, where they are accepting donations, plus the family is also sharing updates on the page.

We wish Doug and his family a speedy recovery!
