The title of this article may be something you look at and say, "Duh," but many people don't realize there are only two girl scout cookie baker companies, and yes, your location determines which company is baking your cookies.

The two companies are ABC Bakers and Little Brownie Bakers. If you are anywhere in the state of North Dakota, you are purchasing and eating Little Brownie Bakers' cookies, albeit from Dakota Horizons.

However, the cookies from each of the baker companies are not at all the same. Some look completely different and have a different nutrition value.

There are seven different cookies from each baker. For ABC Bakers, there are: S'mores, Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Shortbread, and Lemonades. The coinciding cookies from Little Brownie Bakers are: S'mores, Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-si-dos, Trefoils, and Savannah Smiles.

While the flavors of the coinciding cookies of each baker are similar, their textures are different, as are their nutrition values. See for yourself here.

Not only do the Girl Scouts provide an awesome purpose within their organization, but they also teach girls people skills, as well as how to manage money, and fundraising. This year, the Girl Scouts are also celebrating the 100th anniversary of the first sales of Girl Scout cookies. Feel free to order some to celebrate.
