Viking players talk to us about WINNING!

Minnesota Viking fans (like myself) started pouring the purple kool-aid pretty early Sunday afternoon as the Vikes stormed into their matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.  Coach Mike Zimmer and his revamped coaching staff had a plan and executed it in all three phases.  The game started with a sack, then a blocked punt, and a touchdown pass that left us fans with that happy Adam Thielen feelin’. Running back Dalvin Cook displayed the flash we’ve all been waiting to return and to their credit- the Offensive line left him some pretty big run lanes.  It would seem the perennial Vikings O-line woes may not be lead story of this season. That lead story could turn out to be- Are we paying Kirk Cousins all that money to just throw the ball 10 times a game? You betcha we are- and who cares along as the wins keep coming. After all, the Baltimore Ravens won the Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer as their quarterback!

We were in the locker room for the celebration. Let’s hear what your favorite Viking players had to say to Townsquare Media’s Sports Director Rob Meltzer immediately following the game.

One game does not a season make. But after watching the backyard scrimmage that was the Packers versus Bears in the season opener and seeing the Lions stuck with a tie on their opening weekend- things early on are looking pretty good for the Vikes in the NFC North. So for now- raise those glasses and let the purple kool-aid pour!  SKOL VIKINGS!
