Just in from the National Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the mask mandate on all transportation networks across the United States will continue until January 18th 2022.  This includes all airports, all commercial flights, buses and rail systems.

The previous mask mandate was set to expire on on September 13th of 2021.  The first mask mandate from the National Transportation Security Administration began on January 31st of 2021 with an expiration date of May 11th.

There are very few exemptions to the National Transportation Security Administration's mask mandates.  Only children under the age of 2 years old and those with certain disabilities. Civil penalty fines will remain in place.

The highly contagious Delta Variant of COVID-19 has spiked number across the globe.  Until we get a handle of this outbreak, it's a good bet mask mandates on all transportation networks will continue well into 2022.  I don't think anybody enjoys wearing a mask, but if it means I can still fly to see relatives or take a vacation, it seems like a small price to pay.  I still question the science, because the math numbers don't add up in my mind, when it comes to the effectiveness of a mask.  However, once again if it means we can keep our lives somewhat normal as before COVID-19, I'll roll with it.  Also, keep in mind the FAA is really cracking down on unrulily passengers.  Unless you've got ten's of thousands of extra dollars laying around, you might to chill on your next flight.

You'll find more information on COVID-19 when flying out of the Bismarck Airport here.
