We've all been down a dark and deserted road, in the daytime not so intimidating...

...at night though, creepy. Imagination runs wild with thoughts of ghosts, maybe even zombies ( and not those who shop at Walmart all day long ). How many times did you

think you saw something out of the ordinary? Once again that's your mind playing tricks on you, either cause of lack of sleep, or sheer boredom, so here are a few roads and

highways with some history to them, whether you want to believe it or not. Some other places of note that I did not mention:

Tagus Road ( ward County )

Near the ghost town of Tagus - this road is linked to some spooky stories of an abanded church, ghostly lights and weird sounds

Gotham Road ( Minot )

Some people have seen unexplained shadows and UNEXPLAINED phenomena - all near a bridge

Burning Hills Scenic Byway ( Medora )

Strange whispers from shadows, and just an unsettling feeling while driving through this eerie area

River Road ( Bismarck )

About three years several people claim they saw a UFO lingering along the Missouri River

Devil's Run Road ( Lakewood )

What exactly is a spectral horseman? That and other ghostly activity have been seen around this area

Highway 281 ( Ellendale )

Here is another scenario of taking a drive at night through a certain stretch of this highway - people have reported hearing strange whispers, and seeing what they

imagined as unexplained figures walking down the road.

What parts of North Dakota have you felt that chill run down your spine when you are out and about driving...or even walking?
