BisMan’s Beautiful ‘Butterfly Body Art’ – Perfect

I say the word "Perfect", and to me, that's what 'Butterfly Body Art' in Mandan is...

I'll take a couple of seconds here to tell you all about the magic that owner Brooke Ternes and her artists deliver -it's stunning AND within 5-10 minutes and it makes everyone so happy. Let me rewind just a bit...

Just last month I had the opportunity to be at the 2nd Annual First International Bank & Trust's Memorial Square Block Party.

I was representing US 103.3, doing a live remote from. I noticed while setting up our equipment about 50 feet in front of me a charming lady was setting up her area - Brooke Ternes - Butterfly Body Art - her job, was to take a chosen design and with an airbrush, some color, and glitter, and apply artwork on an eager individual - I kid you not on this, from the second she sat down - 11:00 am, to at least 2:30 - the line of kids, and mothers stood eagerly waiting for her magical touch...take a look for yourself...

I asked Brooke how long she has had her business - because by looking at her work it gives you the impression she has been doing this for years - not true. There she was a substitute teacher in Bismarck, looking for something fun to do STRICTLY as a hobby - she found it, and then some. It's been just over a year that she has gifted all of Bismarck/Mandan her work.

I have some personal observations I would like to add, I first-hand watched a mother with a warm smile from ear to ear huddle around her kids, one after the other sitting down with Brooke.

Again, my favorite question when I come across someone at work...

"What do you like about your job the most?:" A quick thoughtful glance on her face said it all - "The reactions I get from people, making kids, moms genuinely happy..." Brooke let me just say I saw 3 hours of pure enjoyment and fun, it was a beautiful thing to watch - thank you.
