To all the Cats fans - this season won't be the same...

... the Bismarck Bobcats are getting themselves ready for the 2024 season ( it will be here before you know it ) - a HUGE void in the VFW  - two words - Layne Sedevie.        For the last 15 years AND over 400 victories, Layne has been the driving, motivating force behind our hockey team. You can't miss hearing his voice echoing through the arena - it takes an amazing person to have invested so much love into the game, the players, the fans, and his city.

A New Chapter Ahead

A media release yesterday from Brad Feldman - Bismarck Bobcats Director of Operations -

Bismarck, ND – It is with mixed feelings that the Bismarck Bobcats announced today that Head Coach/GM Layne Sedevie, coach of the Bobcats for the last 15 years, has accepted a new and equally exciting career change. Layne has accepted the program director job with Bismarck Hockey Boosters Sedevie says, “First and foremost I want to thank Thom and Brenda Brigl for giving me the opportunity to coach in the community that I grew up in.” Sedevie continues “Thank you to the Bismarck-Mandan community for all the support over the years because this organization wouldn’t be where it is today without your support. Thank you for all the great memories"

The Bismarck Bobcats organization wants to thank Layne Sedevie...

...and his entire family for all they have done for us over the years. We wish Layne nothing but the best as he transitions into this new role. The Bobcats are in the process of a national search for a replacement. The Bobcats have promoted Niko Kapetanovic to General Manager who will help find the next coach. Once A Bobcat, Always A Bobcat!
