City of Bismarck Reminds Residents to Clear Sidewalks of Ice and Snow
The ice in Bismarck-Mandan seems to be getting worse and harder to deal with.
It seems like Bismarck-Mandan has been an ice rink for months. And it just keeps getting worse. With all the snowing, raining, and melting that has been going on in the past few weeks, the ice has gotten so thick. It kind of seems like we will have to wait for a real heatwave to get this stuff to go away. But the City of Bismarck wants to remind residents that it is important to do something about the ice and snow buildup on our sidewalks.
Do not forget to clear your sidewalks or you could be charged by the city!
The City of Bismarck posted a reminder on Facebook to residents to clean their sidewalks. And it may suck to try to remove the layers of ice build-up, but it is important to get it as best as you can. Why? Because failure to do so could result in a fine from the city.
A perk of apartment living is you do not have to worry about such things as clearing snow and ice from sidewalks.
It is times like these that I am happy to live in an apartment. It is nice to not have the responsibility of keeping sidewalks and yards maintained. I honestly do not know how people can do it this winter, though. My apartment complex parking lot is covered in ice that will not melt no matter how much maintenance keeps up with everything.
How are you dealing with the snow and ice buildup on your sidewalks?
