Bismarck Extended Reconstruction Project To Begin Soon

I'm trying to remember the exact words an older Bismarck native had for me yesterday

There I was at the Bismarck Event Center, waiting for the box office to open up when an older gentleman came walking in right behind me. Our conversation wound up turning to the weather, and we both agreed that warmer days were slowly approaching Bismarck and Mandan. He asked me where I am from, and one of the first things I tell people what I think about living here, I always say "I love the change of seasons, we don't really have that in San Diego..." -his reply was dead on.

"Living out here in Bisman my whole life, we are all familiar with the two seasons...

...winter and road construction" I've been out here for 9 years and that was the first time I had heard that line, and it sure seems accurate, doesn't it? Makes perfect sense to me though. So check out what I came across this morning - A Press Release: City of Bismarck to Begin Extended Reconstruction Project on Ash Coulee Drive on April 24  "The City of Bismarck will begin a large-scale reconstruction project on Ash Coulee Drive later this month. The project in northwest Bismarck is expected to be fully open for traffic in October of this year"

Don't let the word "unfortunately" discourage you

I'm quite aware that certain words can be a bummer to read or hear - like this from City of Bismarck Engineer Gabe Schell "This project will, unfortunately, impact the citizens that typically use Ash Coulee Drive,”  This construction will have two different phases to it, and the goal is to be fully open for traffic in October of this year - So I like the word ADAPT better than unfortunately.
