I have friends in California that always seem to ask me the same question

I'm sure other people living in North Dakota get the same remarks - "How do you guys even live out there when it's freezing? You must NEVER go outside!"  Well sometimes that is true - I mean we ARE pretty used to it, but cold is COLD. One thing for sure that we all love is that the tradition that brings your whole family together is back!

It’s Time to Celebrate Winter with Bismarck’s Annual Flurry Fest

I love this opening line from a media press release Bismarck Parks And Recreation District put out yesterday: – "Did you know the great outdoors might just be the ultimate pick-me-up?"   -  Here is how I understood that last line, put ME on skates and YES you will need to pick me up every minute or so.

All the fun begins soon

Starting on the first of the month - February 1st - Riverwood Golf Course -  Kicksled Kickoff – Watch, learn, and practice kicksledding for free with a foot-powered Scandinavian sled at Riverwood Golf Course from 1-3 pm. As the rest of the days of the month go by, there are so many fun things scheduled - check this out, your chance to spend some time with our Bismarck Bobcats - Feb. 23: Skate with the Bobcats – Enjoy some free outdoor ice skating from 3-5 p.m. with the Bobcats at Jaycee Centennial Park. Enjoy treats in the warming house.

Do yourself and your whole family a favor - and be a part of this year's Flurry Fest. To see the complete schedule of all Flurry Fest activities, visit www.bisparks.org/flurry-fest2025/. Call 701-222-6455 with questions.
