Car Crash Claims the Life of Bismarck Century Graduate and Fellow NDSU Classmate
Danie Thomssen, first year student at NDSU and former CHS Patriot, was killed along with another NDSU student in a car crash on Saturday, February 11th.
According to Valley News Live, a tragic car accident on I-94 near Glyndon, MN claimed the lives of Danie Thomssen (Bismarck) and Carson Roney (Oakes), Saturday night. Thomssen was 18-years-old and Roney was 19, both studying biological sciences at NDSU.
Thomssen was a graduate from Bismarck's Century High School. At NDSU she played saxophone for the NDSU Gold Star Marching Band. It seems she made an impact at Century for her musical ability as well:
18-year-old Haley Lynn of Oakes, ND survived. The roads were icy as they made their way back to the Fargo area after a weekend in Minneapolis. All three victims were wearing their seatbelts and alcohol was not a factor.
North Dakota State University made the following statement on their Facebook page:

Our thoughts are with the families and friends of these students.
