Carson Wentz continues the fast track to recovery as the Philadelphia Eagles learned on Wednesday (June 6th) that their quarterback has been cleared for 7-on-7 drills.

As Wentz continues to progress through his rehab, Eagles coach Doug Pederson said the team would continue to monitor the quarterback's progress in the 7-on-7 'controlled environment.'

Pederson has not tipped his hand as to say whether Wentz is ahead of schedule as he continues to recover from his torn left ACL, which happened back on December 10th of last year. However, all signs are pointing to that Week 1 game against the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday Night Football, as Wentz has set for when he'd like to be back on the field.

The Eagles would certainly like to be cautious with their young quarterback in his recovery, but there's definitely reasons to be optimistic that Wentz could make a return at the start of the regular season.
