New signs, new businesses pop up when you least expect them

I just saw this today, this afternoon, while I was driving on the same street I take 5 days a week. Something caught my eye. This was kind of a deja vu moment for me. You see, during COVID, about 4 years ago, at the SAME location, a sign popped up with news about a new place starting up - same corner building.

I pulled over at the time and walked next door to their new neighbors

I walked into the business that was literally right next door, and asked an employee more about it - she gave me some info - fast forward to today, I repeated my same exact strategy and asked her about the sign:

She told me everything she had heard about Phat Fish Brewing

I think this was the same pleasant woman from 4 years ago who told me she had heard that Phat Fish Brewing is a small chain, with one being in Dickinson, North Dakota. Here is how their place is described:

"Family-friendly brewpub offering a variety of beers, plus pizza, and other pub grub.

Has outdoor seating · Has fireplace · Has live performances"

Sounds like a blast to me

I called their place In Dickinson, and the young lady who answered the phone told me that "Yes, she had heard about a new Phat Fish Brewing opening in Mandan this year ( 2025 ) - This is at 4530 Memorial Highway - Hey, it's always nice to have neighbors that are, for the most part, in the know!
