Court TV Reporter Reacts To ND Murder Verdict
This wasn't the first murder trial that the Court TV network carried
I ran this story yesterday, on the Minot murder trial of a roommate charged with the death of Anita Knutson. Almost 20 years ago, this young lady was found dead in her apartment, knifed to death. Suddenly it's all come to an end, was the real killer set free?

Nichole Rice was arrested and charged with murder
She was under suspicion for quite a while, but the evidence wasn't there for an arrest - then about two years ago, she was taken in, and put behind bars. The trial was moved to Grand Forks, North Dakota - the main reason for that was the fear that everyone involved felt they would not be able to find enough unbiased jurors ( In other words, if you lived in Minot at the time, it was almost impossible you didn't hear about it )
Watching the video of the verdict being delivered was extremely emotional
In order to convict someone, all 12 jury members need to come to a mutual decision, and after deliberation, their response was "Not Guilty" - So here is the question: was the celebration, relief and complete bedlam from the crowd in the courtroom out of line? Was it necessary?
Imagine the feelings that were going in the minds of Anita Knutson's family and friends? Their loved one will never come back. Check out this Court TV reporter and her opinion on the verdict:
