Who wants to forget about this year already? I mean we are barely past the halfway mark for 2020 to click to 2021, and we've all encountered the coronavirus, which in turn completely shattered our economy, driving so many people to unemployment. Businesses saw their demise, closing their doors for good. No one could have ever predicted that we would lose all sports, from high school, college, and Pros to the COVID-19. The unthinkable has happened, and the death toll continues to rise. Then Memorial Day and our country watched another travesty take place. The death of a 46-year-old black man - George Floyd, his life taken by a 44-year-old white police officer - Derek Chauvin. Understandably so, tempers heated up, riots, protests filled the streets of America, one which was in Fargo, North Dakota. A local police officer at the time went out on the streets in normal attire ( no uniform )  claiming he was "working undercover", was seen carrying a beer and shouting f*** the police.

The May 30th incident began peacefully but picked up steam later on at night when downtown Fargo businesses were vandalized and looted. Deputy Chief Todd Osmundson admitted his undercover actions ( which he was not given permission to do so by the Fargo Police Department ) and he was immediately suspended for a week, which then led to his resignation. Internal Affairs just concluded an investigation and the results are that Osmundson will not be charged for his actions during the May 30th riots, and there will be no further review on possible charges against the former Deputy Chief.
