A Simple Tiny Bridge In New Salem Showcases Honor

To those who have driven down this road...

...and have seen the sign, they immediately fall into a moment or two of silence. Their first thoughts are of a courageous young man they have never met - like so many others, a soldier who lost his life protecting them.

When we all get together and enjoy our holidays, the bottom line is it's not just about taking time off, or having some cold ones at a barbecue. Veterans Day, Memorial Day are reserved for all of us to remember those who HAVE served and still serve our country now.

DJ was killed in action in Iraq in November 2005

At just twenty years old when Dennis DJ Ferderer Jr took his last breath.  According to Kfyrtv.com "DJ was killed in action in Iraq in November 2005". Twenty years later, his parents are still living in sadness ( never goes away ) and memories, and now there is a sign of him for so many of us to see and never forget.
