...for Dakota Center For Independent Living ( There are two of them, one in Dickinson and the other here in Bismarck ) - covering 18 counties total. This wonderful group of people is excited and happy to be a part of the first annual "Walk For Walkers & Wheelies" THIS Saturday:

"We are excited to announce that we are hosting an all-inclusive walk. This is for people of ALL ABILITIES! It will be held at the Amvets on Saturday, July 20 at 9 am. Along with the walk, we will have a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, bake sale, wellness health fair, and ADA activities.

We are fundraising for the people we serve:

Assistive Technology ● Community & Social Activities ● Independent Living Skills Training ● Outreach to an 18 County Service Area ● Empower People with Disabilities by Minimizing Barriers

Whether you are looking to get out there and walk, have a booth, or be a sponsor - the common thread here is "Taking care of others" - Mary Beth said it perfectly when I asked her about Dakota Center For Independent Living - "Doesn't matter what your disability is ( Mental or emotional ) - we want to eliminate barriers"

You can register at any of the above places - Amvets will have food out there - raising money to continue to provide service in our 18 counties - assistive technology, community, and social activities - independent training and living outreach. This is a wonderful opportunity this Saturday for services that are in and out of our local area to set up a booth.

Of course, as always my favorite question to ask...

"What is your favorite part of your job?" I asked Mary Beth..."I love helping people - anything they are looking for OR who are stressed. If I can just make someone's day better, gives me great pleasure" This Saturday there will be positive, encouraging, and wonderful people out looking to make a difference in the lives of others.
