In ND ( Or Anywhere ) Don't Ever Tell Me Cops Don't Have A Heart

To serve and protect...

...and make sure high school students make it to the prom...no matter what! This is one of my favorite stories of the year, it's simplistic in so many ways AND proves my opinion that cops DO have a heart. We all have seen the words "To serve and protect" on police cars, some cities may have a variation of that written on their car doors - but the bottom line is when they put on their uniform and head out to work, you never know what they will face.

Imagine being young again, you have your rented suit on, maybe a corsage or flowers at your ready for your high school prom date...and your car breaks down. Check it out:

On April 6, 2024, Dunn County Deputy Corporal Tyler Rintamaki and Deputy Jermeay demonstrated exceptional kindness and dedication to duty when they encountered a broken-down vehicle while on patrol.

Responding to the call of duty, Corporal Rintamaki and Deputy Jermeay discovered Danica and Ian, two Killdeer High School students, stranded on their way to prom due to an unexpected vehicle breakdown. Despite the setback, Corporal Rintamaki made it his mission to ensure the students didn't miss their special night.

Exemplifying the values of service and compassion, Corporal Rintamaki and Deputy Jermeay provided the stranded students with a courtesy ride to prom, ensuring they arrived safely and on time to enjoy their memorable evening"

Ahhh good old-fashioned fun in the backseat...of a squad car. Keep in mind one thing, the police are human too.
