North Dakota’s Carson Wentz With A “Classy” Post On Insta

North Dakota's Carson Wentz finished the 2023-2024 NFL season as a backup for the Los Angeles Rams.

According to NFL.com, Carson signed a modest deal with the Rams for the veteran minimum of $1.165 million, plus a $150,000 signing bonus.

Several teams who were also dealing with injuries this year allegedly had Carson Wentz on their short list of quarterbacks to potentially sign.  The Minnesota Vikings were one of those teams.  I feel the Vikings made a HUGE mistake in not signing the North Dakota veteran quarterback instead of Josh Dobbs from the Arizona Cardinals.  You can read more about that here.

The Vikings would eventually move off of Dobbs, receive shotty quarterback play from two other backups, and finish the year losing 4 straight games and missing the playoffs.  Carson Wentz would have been a much better option and may have saved the season for Minnesota.

Wentz would eventually start the last game of the season for the L.A. Rams against the San Francisco 49ers.

It was a meaningless game with a lot of starters not playing but Carson played well and would even lead the Rams to a come-from-behind victory.  Throwing for one touchdown and running for another one.

I don't think anybody could argue (even the biggest Carson Wentz haters here) that Carson Wentz is a classy individual.

I recently ran across an Instagram post from Carson Wentz which really showcased that.

Carson of course is writing about Rams starting quarterback Matthew Stafford.  The Rams were eliminated from the Playoffs last Sunday night by the Detroit Lions 24-23.

Now the question begs, will the Rams bring back Carson Wentz next season?

Ian Rapoport with NFL.com believes it's possible and they may even use Wentz in a bigger role if Matthew Stafford decides to retire this offseason.

I said it before and I'll say it again.  Carson Wentz sure would've looked good in purple.
