This is incredible. A Northern Minnesota man was on his way home from work this week when he spotted something extremely rare to see, a Canadian Lynx on the roadside, grabbing a bite to eat. Seth Trobec was the lucky Minnesotan to capture the moment of a rare and really big cat.

I sent Seth a message to ask if I could use his photos to share them with you, as I found them on the That's So Minnesota page on social media. Check these photos out! (Seth admitted in his post that he left his camera at home and regrets it as he only had his phone to take pictures of the majestic cat)

The post on That's So Minnesota states:

Of all the days to forget my camera, it had to be today! While on my way home from work, I had my first close encounter with a Canadian Lynx, who was munching on a roadkill deer, near Floodwood, MN! Though, not the best quality, I was able to get a few pics with my phone of the majestic beast!

That is a big kitty!

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources describes the Canada Lynx as:

A rare wildcat in Minnesota, and is most likely to occur just after the population of their main prey, snowshoe hare, crashes in Canada. The lynx has large "snowshoe" like feet that enables it to walk on top of deep, soft, snows. The lynx was once a hunted and trapped in Minnesota, but due to declining numbers in Canada, the lynx has been protected in Minnesota since 1984. In 2000, the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service classed the lynx as a federally threatened species.

The photos were taken near Floodwood, MN which is located in St. Louis County.

Million Dollar Homes! Check Out This 'Palatial Paradise' For Sale In St. Cloud

The housing market still seems to be going pretty strong, nothing like the last 2-3 years when homes lasted just hours on the open market, but there are still plenty of homes listed for sale in Central Minnesota. One of those homes is a million-dollar listing right here in St. Cloud. The home is described as 'an exquisite palatial paradise', and the photos online seem to prove it.
