According to visitmandan.com :

"New Year, New Light is a front-facing pyro-musical. This means the proper way to experience this show is in the Mandan High School Parking Lot, in your car. Cars are to tune into a selected radio station and face towards the launch site. It is important to listen to the radio and be forward facing because of the shows design. All funds raised are donated directly to the benefiting charities. Walk ups are not encouraged and will not be accommodated. A ticket only needs to be purchased per vehicle"

"This fireworks show will be 20-minutes long and headlined by a world record attempt consisting of 2,500,000 roman candle shots.
