Minnesota Twins Add Starting Pitchers Hughes, Nolasco
The Minnesota Twins added two prized free agents to their roster this week, inking starting pitchers Phil Hughes and Ricky Nolasco to multi-year deals.
Hughes comes to the Twin Cities from New York, where he spent the last few seasons with the Yankees. Last year, Hughes went 4-14 with a 5.19 ERA over 145 2/3 innings. Hughes signed a three-year deal, worth $24 million.
Nolasco split time with the Miami Marlins and Los Angeles Dodgers last year and posted a 3.70 ERA over 199 1/3 innings. Nolasco's deal is for four years and $48 dollars.
