Mott, North Dakota – Home Of A New World Record
On New Year's Eve, I wrote this article - an excited town of Mott, North Dakota was opening to ring in the New Year with a World Record - an invitation to all of North Dakota to come out and observe Garisson Risner with Pegasus Illuminations and his partners attempt and goal to launch the most oversized fireworks ever.........
Here is what I wrote just a couple of days ago:
Look...it doesn't matter one bit that we are in winter season - temps dropping
Today, December 31st - New Year's Eve - and what a great way to kick off the New Year than hopefully setting a World Record in Mott, North Dakota. All the action will kick off around 10 pm. According to kfyrtv.com "Pyrotechnics professional Garrison Risner will attempt to break the world record for launching the most oversized fireworks ever, simultaneously. The event will benefit the Great Plains Food Bank Backpack Program. Risner says to break the record, he plans to launch 12 firework shells that are 16 inches wide and weigh between 40 and 50 pounds each. To keep people safe, the shells will be buried four to five feet in the ground before ignition" Risner said "...get there early - expect to see something you have probably never seen in North Dakota"
So how did everything turn out.......?

They did it, according to kfyrtv.com "Garisson Risner with Pegasus Illuminations and his partners pulled off the now-certified world record launch of 12 sixteen-inch shells. Risner said the blast was so intense that he could feel the ground shake" - If you were there to witness this, you'll never forget it.
