Bismarck's Building A Basketball Team For The Future

I just noticed this afternoon that North Dakota has a professional basketball team

How cool is that? North Dakota's first official professional team, the 4 Bears Roar, is a part of The Basketball League (TBL. If you are wondering if Bismarck has a team, well check this out. They are actually underway getting ready for the inaugural basketball season - YES, Bismarck will have a team hitting the hardwood floor soon!

Despite some rumors that Bismarck was going to have a team starting THIS year, it's not until 2027

According to Facebook::

"The Dakota Basketball League (DBL) is not holding its inaugural season in 2026; the league’s founder is actively building the infrastructure and surveying players to prepare for an inaugural season in 2027. [1, 2]

The DBL is actively recruiting players from Bismarck, Minot, Fargo, and Grand Forks to form a competitive, organized men's league (18+). The league will include paid playing opportunities, community partnerships, and youth camps. Organizers plan to host a showcase event in late 2026 to introduce the teams before the official 2027 launch"
