ND Ranked One Of The Stingiest States On Valentine’s Day
I say this so-called study is giving North Dakota a bum rap
According to casino.guru North Dakota is one of the stingiest states in the country when it comes to celebrating Valentine's Day. So what exactly are they basing their findings on? How do such figures come about? Try not to be too upset by this so-called study. I'll try and break it down for you.
"46% of residents believe that Valentine’s Day is a waste of time and money..."
First, let me point out what the word "Stingies" means - collinsdictionary.com says it nice and simple:
1.
unwilling to spend or give
- Findings show that the average North Dakotan spends $56 to show their affection, which is 69% lower than the national average of $183
- 25-34 year old's in North Dakota are the biggest spenders of all age groups at $61.60, while 18-24 year old's spend the least at $44.80
- 46% of residents believe that Valentine’s Day is a waste of time and money compared to 39% who think otherwise
- North Dakota men spend $60.48 on their partners with women spending $54.32 - a disparity of $6.16
What are your plans Bismarck/Mandan?
Now let me spell out the obvious
Valentine's Day does not have to be all about candy or a dozen roses, or some expensive, elaborate gift. It should be 100% love from your heart to theirs, to appreciate that special person who takes care of you, and who WANTS to spend time with you. It's sad when people only look at things purely from a monetary level. Plus, not everyone can afford a costly dinner for two somewhere OR a pretty necklace. Kisses and hugs are FREE.
Remember what I said, and you'll have a wonderful day tomorrow. Happy Valentine's Day
