Great question - I wish it were my own

I'm sure whatever State you live in, you may be a bit biased, and I don't blame you. Of course, there have been studies on this, and there are several categories that WalletHub based its findings on. Let me ask YOU this: how would you describe your work ethic? Do you feel you work harder than anybody else?

How does North Dakota rank among the 50 States on how hard WE ( ND ) work?

According to WalletHub.com  "In order to determine where Americans work the hardest, WalletHub compared the 50 states across ten key metrics. The data set ranges from average workweek hours to share of workers with multiple jobs to annual volunteer hours per resident."

Ok, so I know YOU work a 40-hour a week - Americans are hard workers, putting in an average of 1,805 hours per year, according to the World Economic Forum. So what would your guess be on how North Dakota ranks among the 50 States? If you guessed in the top 3, you are getting close.

                          Overall Rank: 1st!

        .    5th – Avg. Workweek Hours

  • 3rd – Employment Rate
  • 13th – Share of Workers with Multiple Jobs
  • 29th – Annual Volunteer Hours per Resident
  • 11th – Avg. Leisure Time Spent per Day

This from WalletHub.com says it all

“North Dakota is the hardest-working state, in part because it has the third-highest employment rate in the country, at nearly 98%. Plus, workers ages 16 to 64 in North Dakota work an average of 39.6 hours per week, the fourth-most in the country. People in the Roughrider State have the 11th-lowest amount of leisure time per day, and 33.5% of workers leave some vacation time unused, the second-highest percentage.”

So listen, get back to work!
