Seems like just yesterday these amazing places were here and in business in Bismarck and Mandan

That's how quickly we can take for granted such amazing places. All of these are 7 restaurants that once flourished and were loved right here in Bismarck.

1) "The World's Greatest Hamburger" - proudly the catch phrase for The Woodhouse restaurant on N 13th Street - One of the favorite features of this charming place was giving customers the ability to order their food through a tableside telephone - they closed its doors for good back in 2022

2) Johnny Carino's - Curbside was huge for this charming Italian restaurant . This place was so relaxing and friendly, it made you feel instantly at home. 1601 W Century Ave - Closed for good back in 2022

3) Starving Rooster - 512 E Main Ave - Bismarck lost a real gem back in 2020 - When I lived in Minot, I ordered pizza to-go many times, and the food was just as good here in town.

4) The Little Cottage Cafe - 2513 E-Main Ave - What more can you say for a wonderful place that treated customers like their own family for over 29 years? WE will always miss this place which closed last month.

5) Erberts & Gerberts - 2 Locations in Bismarck -This was one of my favorites, great sandwiches and bread. The last one shut down just last. Who will ever forget the little side of bread "Guts", they would give you to dunk into your homemade soup?

6) Quiznos - 402 E Bowen Ave -      Another terrific sandwich/unbelievable food place closed a couple of years ago - Sharon was such a wonderful manager, this place had to survive through COVID, which was rough.

7) Mackenzie River Pizza, Grill & Bar - 4510 Skyline Crossings -    The year 2022 took away several of our favorite restaurants; this was one of them. Here is part of what they posted on the day they said goodbye:

"Celebrating nearly ten years with past and present staff to say thank you and good bye!  We want to thank all of the wonderful that have worked with us over the years, and most especially those few who stayed with us after the pandemic..."

A classy way to say goodbye to all who loved going there and who were treated like family.
