I tell ya, the word SUMMER  immediately makes me think of awesome concerts that are headed to North Dakota this year

Here is yet another example of our summer concerts heating up - I'll get to that in just a second, but obviously, after we have been beaten down allllll winter long with a near-record amount of snowfall, almost all of us out here in Bismarck and Mandan pretty much gave up hope that summer would eventually be here. Mother Nature can be pretty wicked sometimes.

It seems almost every music genre will be covered this summer...

...and how awesome is that going to be? There is nothing better than a long summer day with the temps in the 90s, sipping on a cold drink, surrounded by friends or family, and the excitement of an outdoor stage with terrific top-caliber entertainment. An announcement was made earlier today from the Red River Valley Fair Facebook page:

 JUST ANNOUNCED!

Once again this just solidifies the variety of excellent bands that will be out in North Dakota this summer. Third Eye Blind has been around since 1993 - when the group formed together in San Francisco, California. According to allmusic.com  "Third Eye Blind are known for their bright, melodic sound, bringing together a mix of post-grunge and classic pop/rock traditions. The group scored their first hit in 1997 when their debut single "Semi-Charmed Life" cracked the Top Ten, helping push the eponymously titled Third Eye Blind to number 25 on the Billboard 200"

Hurry up and get here will ya Summer?
