Just took a few minutes to make a morning better

Today is 9/11, and every year since 2001, it hits me. The shock and disbelief never go away from that awful Tuesday morning. I was feeling down and numb, and to top that off, we were all still in shock about yesterday's shooting at a public rally in Utah. I had no idea that a quick late-morning lunch break right down the street in Mandan would turn my mood around and make me smile.

My stomach called me out onto the Memorial Highway construction

If you live in Bismarck and have NOT been to Mandan lately, prepare yourself for some delays. Construction began back in April, and most of us are just now getting used to it.

So I began to motivate my mind and hunger by driving over to Cali Burrito - 2901 Memorial Highway. If you get the chance, try the chicken taquitos ( I'm from California, and the taquitos were as good as any place I've ever been to ) - so here I am slowly decompressing, coming down to my happy place, but there was still one shiny moment to come.

Who would have thought a trip to the bathroom would make my day?

So Red Carpet Car Wash basically shares a building with Cali Burrito, separated by one side door, which leads to the Men's bathroom with this simple positive message:

So I did the best I could to "Look Good Today"

That's all it takes, a positive message CAN turn your day around. Thank you, Red Carpet!
