So Proud Of Our Bismarck Bobcats-Role Models W/ Huge Hearts
THIS has to be my favorite story in 5 years of living in Bismarck/Mandan
The most difficult part of my job is to write two stories every weekday. I will be the first to tell you that I am not great at this. At Bismarck Townsquare Media, we write about events in our city, such as a new restaurant or a business that is opening soon. I love stories of inspiration, and THIS one is HUGE.
The Bismarck Bobcats are an exciting team of young hockey players
Most of the players are under the age of 21. The Cats play in the NAHL( North American Hockey League ) - the only Tier II Junior A league in the United States. The young men come from all over the country for a chance to play the sport they have grown up with, and love so much. It's a dream that many seek out to continue playing hockey and possibly reach the highest level they can - the NHL.
Starting in September of 2024 and hopefully ending in late April and early May - A long season
Under their coach Garrett Roth, OUR team plays with pride - the players have earned each other's respect with sweat, and determination - AND teamwork. In probably the most physical sport in the world, the Bobcats put their bodies to the test every practice and game day. This team deserves your utmost respect, but not JUST for what they do on the ice,
Physically and mentally a "Bully" can destroy your life
There have been so many movies made involving a bully We as the viewers are often left somewhat relating to what it felt like when WE were picked on at school. There is nothing more haunting than walking down the hallway, your heart pumping and absolutely scared THE bully or bullies would confront you. When suicide is the final act, it leaves all of us shattered. What can be done in school to somehow prevent this?
Some of the Bismarck Bobcats making sure younger kids know the meaning of kindness
This is so perfect - these players are not just on a TEAM to win, they are here in our city representing the Bobcats in a caring, first-class matter. Check out the amazing post from last week:
Thank you to everyone from the Bismarck Bobcats for being so wonderful!
The kindness and compassion the players showed the students is something we ALL need to embrace.
