One of my fondest childhood memories is when my father took the family out west to see the Medora Musical.  I was pretty young at the time and to be honest, I wasn't all that thrilled about going to a musical.  Wow, was I wrong?  Even at a young age, I remember the thrill of watching the very talented singers and performers.

The Medora Musical and Pitchfork Fondue is set to open for another season coming up on June 8th and will run through September 11th.  I am going to make it a point to relive my childhood memories this year and mosey on over to Medora with my significant other for dinner and a show.  The musical will be open nightly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

If you are interested in getting tickets you can buy them here.  Here's a video of what you can expect from the Medora Musical.

As you can see this is a high-energy country-western variety show.  The Burning Hills Singer and the Coal Diggers Band will be performing.  You'll see live horses on stage, a dramatic reenactment of Theodore Roosevelt's famous battle charge at San Juan Hill, and just when you are feeling patriotic, a big finale with fireworks.

Medora really has it all for your next family vacation or couple getaway.  Horseback trail rides, downtown entertainment, shopping, hiking, eating, and exploring all that Medora has to offer.

If you need overnight accommodations you can hang your hat at the Rough Riders Hotel, Badlands Motel, Elkhorn Quarters, or the Medora Campground.
