The Power Of People Who Genuinely Care For One Another
Earlier this month we were part of the tradition- 96 Hours Of Caring...
...it was either our 18th or 19th year. Cash Wise Foods and Townsquare Media teamed up with a huge list of sponsors of people, and local businesses who all had one goal - to help families in need, making sure that there is food on the table, especially with the holidays coming up. A fundraiser for 4 local food pantries:
MISSOURI SLOPE ARE WIDE UNITED WAY
THE BANQUET-DREAM CENTER
AID INC. SELF HELP CENTER
MINISTRY ON THE MARGINS
Cash Wise makes it super simple to donate, to do what you can to give what you can afford. Townsquare Media Bismarck took turns at the North/South Cash Wise Foods. This was my third year being a part of this, and this year I saw something very special, a moment that is pretty commonplace in Bismarck/Mandan - a human being caring for someone else. A woman named Nancy Albrecht stopped by our table and asked how Dolly Dakota was doing. Dolly has been entertaining BisMan for years on Cool 98.7, she also has shown how much she loves her job by embracing all of her listeners and letting them know of the fight that Dolly is going through - the battle against cancer. She has been off the air as of late, but as you can tell by watching this video, people LOVE her and want Dolly to know how much they care:
Once again the power of people who genuinely care about one another., that's what North Dakota is all about.
