Hey Trader Joe’s – How About Coming To Mandan?

Come on now, we have the space, we have the technology

I believe it's time to bring one of my favorite stores in the world out here to Mandan or Bismarck. Have you ever been to a Trader Joe's? There are currently about 608 Trader Joe's in the United States, with 21 new stores set to open this year. I was driving down East Main Street in Mandan and saw a perfect location for a new store - this property has been empty for at least a couple of years.

As of right now, North Dakota does not have a Trader Joe's

There are actually 10 Trader Joe's in Minnesota:

Bloomington

Rochester

Eagen

Shoreview

Maple Grove

St. Louis Park

Minneapolis

St. Paul

Minnetonka

Woodbury

Remember when Hardee's stood tall over on East Main Street in Mandan?

That property has been vacant for some time now - this would be a perfect time to build a Trader Joe's there. Here are some of the things Trader Joe's specializes in, according to thekitchn.com

5. Bakery

So once again, we come back to my first question I first brought up almost a year ago - "Who do we talk to about getting a Trader Joe's built out here?" Bismarck has made some strides in bringing in some National restaurants - like Panda Express, Chick-fil-A, and IHOP, to name a few. So there is no excuse WHY we can't bring in another. I'll keep my hopes up :)
