USPS Announces Major Changes For ND April 1st – No Joke
No fooling on April 1st - I wouldn't do that to you
Yes, dumb April Fool's jokes run rampant sometimes in the media, but I am here to tell you that starting on April 1st, 2025 - there will be some upcoming changes in mail delivery. So what could that possibly be? Is this happening all around the country, or just in North Dakota? Not all mail delivery will be affected, here is another perk for going First-Class!
"...Increasing reliability and saving $36 billion over 10 years" - sounds like another pretty good reason for the changes
How long would you say it takes to receive an important letter of package, from let's say San Diego, California? Well, I experienced this recently - I waited almost 10 days. My package seemed to travel all over the planet before I got it. Now some good news, going first-class could take away all your frustrations.
Here is what to know beginning April 1st
According to newsweek.com "Beginning April 1, the USPS will adjust service standards for first-class mail, periodicals, marketing mail, and package services. Seventy-five percent of first-class mail will maintain its current delivery standard, 14 percent will be upgraded to a faster standard, and 11 percent will experience a slower standard. However, all first-class mail will still be delivered between one and five days"
The emphasis on speed and delivery
For first-class mail - 75% will be delivered the same as it was before, 14 percent will be upgraded to a faster standard, and 11 percent will experience a slower standard. However, all first-class mail will still be delivered between one and five days. Once again, disregard the April Fool's jokes, this is happening.
