Hard to imagine that could happen, isn't it?

Yet it did. There you are just minding your own business on an early Sunday evening here in Bismarck, standing on the porch watching the weekend slowly disappear, unaware that for some crazy thing you are almost at the wrong place at the wrong time. That unfortunately is how tragedies happen all the time. It's pretty easy to assume to say that we all want to feel safe when we are in our own homes, however, we are all vulnerable to others who have no regard for anyone else.

A concerned friend who posted on the Bismarck People Reporting News Facebook group page looking for more information

So a concerned individual posted this yesterday about a friend of his that was simply just standing on his porch, in town, when he "was shot at", and did anyone have any more information on this. Thankfully no injuries were reported, and the time of the early Sunday evening incident coincided with the shooting that kfyrtv.com reported  " Police said Donald Strait fired multiple rounds at a person in the area of 2520 East Broadway Avenue Sunday. According to court documents, Strait told police he attempted to shoot the man in the leg because the man had spoken of killing kids and was advancing on a woman"

The bottom line is that it's quite disturbing that anyone would be so care-free about carrying a weapon and firing shots in an open area

This person was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, and the even scarier part was that according to kfyrtv.com "Investigators said the bullets traveled through multiple walls of a home and were about chest or head level" This story could have turned out deadly
