Bismarck Golf Dome goes down for the Summer.
It's time for summer renovations.
In a perfect time to do some renovations, the N19th street golf dome has shut down for just that.
Parks and recreation will be replacing the turf, the dome and adding some new led lighting.
According to KFYR-TV:
"You know, I'm just excited to get this project rolling,” said Bismarck Facilities & Programs Director Kevin Klipfel. “When it's done, I think the community is really gonna embrace it. We're gonna provide some more opportunities in there. We'll have a dividing curtain so we can have multiple activities going on at the same time, which would be an enhancement to the facility."
The current turf was the former surface of the MDU Resources Community Bowl and the fabric of the dome is 23 years old. The project will cost the department roughly $1 million, and will be open for use by the first week of August
For someone who likes to practice during the winter, this is great news!
