How Cool Would It Be To Coach The Bismarck Larks?
I think it would be a BLAST!!!
The title of this story - "How Cool Would It Be To Coach The Bismarck Lark?" was meant for everyone, really. Sure, it would be a good idea if you knew something about the game, but can you imagine the sheer joy of being around people who LOVE baseball, family entertainment, and treating others with respect? That's what the Bismarck Larks are all about.
When you go see the Larks play at the Bismarck Municipal ballpark, expect huge smiles everywhere
When you attend a Larks game, everyone is welcome - all ages - this organization does it so well. They know the game of baseball, and they also know that there is much more to that when you are at a game. You will see excited Larks employees ( many of them are interns ) racing onto the field in between innings, getting the crowd involved. Here is another thing that will always impress me: the players show up at outside events, helping raise money, signing baseballs, and every one of them is so sincere and humble.
The Larks finished up their 2025 season last Saturday night
I had the chance to meet several of the players earlier that day when they stopped by Valvoline Instant Oil Change over on 1154 W Divide - in between signing baseballs, the guys were rehashing all the memories of their time with the Larks - long bus rides, the pure camaraderie of what a team is - from the players themselves to the whole organization. Now, getting back to my title of this story, the Larks are looking for a new coach!
This was just announced this morning:
According to Hope Sisk - Bismarck Larks Marketing Director -
"The Bismarck Larks announced today that the organization has parted ways with Manager and Director of Player Operations Mark Weidemaier.
The Larks finished the 2025 season with an 18–54 record, bringing the team’s two-year total under Weidemaier to 52–90.
The organization has officially begun the search for a new Head Coach to lead the team into its milestone 10th anniversary season in 2026.
For updates on the coaching search and the upcoming season, visit larksbaseball.com or follow the team on social media"
Go for it! We'll see you at the park!
