Two Bismarck Infants were left alone for more than 24 hours this past weekend.

KX News reports that two infants, ages one and six months, were left alone at home by their mother for more than 24 hours. The 28-year-old mother was reportedly arrested early Monday morning after police found the infants in their cribs thanks to a tip from the children's grandmother. It was also reported that the mother had previously been arrested during the early morning hours this past Sunday for disorderly conduct. She is now in custody at Burleigh Morton Detention Center.

The babies were taken to the hospital but are going to be ok.

The babies were reportedly treated for medical issues that stemmed from 24 hours without food, but they will be fine. There are not a ton of details on the situation, but this kind of thing makes the public wonder how it could happen. From the little details we do know, it seems like the woman may have been in a serious state of distress at the time she abandoned her babies. But thank goodness for the grandma being able to step in.
