
Fargo Residents Displaying Blue Lights In Support of Fallen Officer’s Family
Residents of Fargo are being asked, by the Fargo Police Department, to illuminate blue lights at night to support the family of a fallen police officer.
Officer Jason Moszer died Thursday afternoon, February 11th, after being shot Wednesday night, February 10th, in north Fargo. Moszer was responding to a domestic disturbance. The alleged gunman, Marcus Schumacher, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to InForum, the Fargo Police Department is giving away blue light bulbs to residents who make a freewill donation. Those donations will go to the family of Officer Moszer.
[UPDATE 2/16] It took less than one hour for the Fargo Police Department to run out of blue light bulbs, according to InForum.
The Fargo Police Department has also set up a benefit fund to help the family Officer Moszer leaves behind. As of Friday evening, February 12th, the fund had already reach nearly $26,000.
