Bismarck Mayor Steve Bakken loves Bismarck.  Steve is front and center in a new National campaign called "Honor Your Hometown."  This campaign is encouraging the people of Bismarck to come together and honor your hometown.  Here's Mayor Steve Bakken and the video he made for the campaign.

Mayor Steve Bakken told me The Honor Your Hometown campaign kicked off across the country today and will run through Thanksgiving.  It's being supported by some pretty heavy hitters in the country music world, legendary entertainers, mayors, and leaders from all 50 states.  They include Country Music Hall of Fame member Marty Stuart, Miranda Lambert, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Dolly Parton and so many more.

I sat down with Mayor Bakken yesterday and he told me, “It is an honor to have Bismarck as part of the Honor Your Hometown effort representing our city, the Capital City of North Dakota. Bismarck is a vibrant, growing community that brings people together. Bismarck is a place our residents are proud to call home.”

Bismarck Mayor Steve Bakken is asking anyone who is interested in participating in Honor Your Hometown to submit a video of what you love most about Bismarck and post a short video (like his above) to social media.  Use the hashtag #HonorYourHometown to join the effort.  When this project came up Mayor Bakken viewed it as a great opportunity for why you love Bismarck and some of the great opportunities we have along the Missouri River.  This is why we love our home town.
