Is The Mystery Solved On What’s Coming To Bismarck?

This always seems to pull out all the possible hopes and wants of Bismarck/Mandan residents

I've been living in Bismarck for over 5 years, and it never fails that when there is an empty lot or vacant spot in a strip mall, rumors fly on what business could take over - on this particular one, the mention of a National Chain has been tossed into the discussion.

A Facebook post a couple of days go got everyone excited

Bismarck People Reporting News Facebook Page - our hub of what's going on in our city. This is what was posted a couple of days ago:

"So JE Homes posted on FB yesterday that a National Chain is coming to the lot east of South Tommy's Car Wash. Where Popeye backed of. Anyone know what's coming?"

I tried calling JE Holmes for more info, and never heard back from them. Over 140 comments poured out from people who expressed their hopes for a new business.

Some people joked about needing another bank, and others pleaded for their favorite restaurants. In the time I've lived here, Panda Express arrived - before that, a National Chain favorite Chick-fil-a opened up and people were through the roof thrilled.

Is The Mystery Solved On What's Coming To Bismarck?

So, an updated short post on the Bismarck People Reporting News Facebook Page may have burst a lot of hopeful bubbles:

"UPDATE: It appears it will be a Take 5 Oil Change place. Not 100% sure. Sorry to get everyone’s hopes up"

Only time will tell if the above update is accurate.
