It's Clean-Up Week in Bismarck, the opportunity for you to unload some of the disposables that the sanitation folks wouldn't normally take...

Here's what you need to know:

Clean-up Week Dates

Spring: May 1-5, 2017
Fall: September 25-29, 2017

  • Residential Homes and Apartment Buildings

    - Place items for special pick-up on the boulevard by 8:00 a.m. on your regular scheduled garbage day.

  • Residential Alley Pickup

    - Place items for special pick-up in the alley at your regular point of collection or on the boulevard by 8:00 a.m. on your regular scheduled garbage day.

Collection Information

  • A separate truck will pick up the special items set out for collection
  • All loose materials must be boxed or bagged.
  • It is illegal to remove any refuse set out for collection.
  • Landfill charges will apply when disposing of items at the landfill.

  • Appliances
  • Box Springs and Mattresses
  • Building Material
  • Carpet
  • Dirt
  • Electronics
  • Furniture Items
  • Propane Tanks
  • Sod
  • Rocks
  • Tires (semi truck and tractor tires)
  • Tree branches and wood material must be cut in 4-foot lengths
  • Tree branches must be tied in bundles.

Apartment Complexes

City crews

will pick up

items listed below during clean-up weeks.

  • Dirt
  • Rocks
  • Sod
  • Tires (semi truck and tractor tires)
  • Tree branches and wood material must be cut in 4-foot lengths
  • Tree branches must be tied in bundles.

Items not collected on the route

The following items

will not

be collected on the route but may be taken to the Household Hazardous Waste & Electronic Recycling Center. There is no charge for Bismarck residents to dispose of these items when delivering them to the Center.
