Tomorrow marks the first day of the month of April, which also happens to be April Fools' Day. It also happens to be a day 'Last Week Tonight' host John Oliver would like to see go away.

Oliver's show is off this week, so he released the above web exclusive in an attempt to convince people NOT to participate in April Fools' Day.

As Oliver states:

April Fools' Day is to comedy what St. Patrick's Day is to Irish culture.

Oliver goes on to explain why April Fools' Day is so terrible, including stating that we don't need a special holiday to disappoint our loved ones. He then asked his entire audience to take his 'No Prank Pledge.'

So, will you be taking Oliver's 'No Prank Pledge' and abstaining from celebrating such a heinous holiday?

You can catch 'Last Week Tonight with John Oliver' Sunday nights at 10pm CST on HBO.
