What does that title tell you? To sit back and reach out to your "Peers" to make "Life" for campus cops - let that marinade just a bit. My first reaction is "Why?" I want to know just what Lauren Meyers, a member of the Minnesota Student Association Executive Board was thinking when she made her comments. According to FOXNEWS Meyers is a student government leader at the University of Minnesota. Just recently she was addressing a letter that was sent out to the school president Joan Gabel from fellow students.

University of Minnesota Police Department Chief Matt Clark is the target of accusations that he allegedly failed to properly protect students of color. He has been accused of basically not doing his job, and NOT providing  "campus safety and wellness". One of the other negative things mentioned was that Clark allowed the "Strong Arm" of UMPD to silence community members. The letter continued with threats of "direct actions" if their demands were not granted. Here is when Meyers took over - on a video conference when asked what she thought the student "actions"    should be, she allegedly directed students to "use up" campus cops’ resources in an effort to pressure the department’s police chief to resign,  When a student asked for her to clarify on her comment, it was met with this one "Make their lives hell. Annoy the s— out of them. Like, use up their resources, make their officers show up to something."

Her remarks didn't sit too well with police union groups — including the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association and Law Enforcement Labor Services. "We’re frustrated that elected student leaders would purposefully choose to stir further division to make the campus less safe," said Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association executive director Brian Peters.

A school spokesman responded that the University respects the Minnesota Student Association for its membership to speak freely but not when the ideas and comments that have been brought up are illegal and would conflict with their main goal to keep students safe. The investigation continues on whether Lauren's comments violated the college’s code of conduct.

Plain and simple, Calling out OTHERS to "Make Life Hell" for cops is a cowardly act.
