We all seem to have our most disliked roads of travel, some more dangerous than ever. These roads range from highways to rural roads, and the factors that make them dangerous are many.

That to me is a no-brainer though, heck you could be pulling out of your driveway in a blizzard and be facing danger. The most obvious rule of thumb is when you are traveling, always make sure you are prepared, for anything. Have a full tank of gas, water, food, a shovel, blankets, batteries. When I first moved to North Dakota almost 8 years ago, people asked me if I had a "Survival kit" in my car. I thought they meant did I have a jack and a spare. THE first time I ever experienced minus 25 degrees weather with a wind chill of a trillion, I UNDERSTOOD what they meant!
