The Philadelphia Eagles have parted ways with Josh Huff, just days after the wide receiver was arrested on marijuana and firearms charges.

According to ESPN, Huff was in possession of an unloaded 9mm handgun and a small amount of marijuana when he was pulled over Tuesday, November 1st, in New Jersey.

The Eagles announced Huff's release at a press conference earlier today (11/3):

Huff was a third-round selection of the Philadelphia Eagles back in 2014. In seven games this season, Huff has caught 13 passes from quarterback Carson Wentz for 72 yards and one touchdown, according to InForum.

Huff's release is a blow to a wide receiving corps that has already seen its fair share of issues this season. The team continues to deal with dropped passes, which was an issue for the last season, as well.

The Eagles travel to New Jersey this Sunday, November 6th, to face the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium. Kickoff is at 12 p.m. CST.
