I had my eye on one show when the North Dakota State Fair concert lineup was announced earlier this year.  Yes, I would've loved to have seen Kid Rock but I had a conflict that weekend so it was not to be.  As it turned out, it was a brilliant move on my part not to see that one.

I wouldn't have minded seeing Nelly, as he's got some serious old-school hits that would've taken me back to the 2000s.  As it turned out, there was plenty of drama that went along with that show as well, as concertgoers couldn't refrain from throwing beers on stage.

No, the show that I targeted was Old Dominion.  I had somehow never seen them before, even though they've been in the state a few times, including Bismarck.  I've been a fan for a long time and their song "Song for Another Time" is one of my all-time favorites.  Lyrically, it's absolutely brilliant.

Old Dominion's YouTube Channel can be found here.

The show absolutely rocked from the get-go.  It was a perfect night in Minot and the crowd was surprisingly well behaved.  They played all the hits and even threw in a few big hits that they wrote for other artists like Kenny Chesney's "Save it for a Rainy Day" and Keith Urban's "Wild Hearts".

Here are a few video clips from the concert in case you missed it. (Turn your volume up!)

And their latest hit, "No Hard Feelings".

It sure was a perfect Summer North Dakota night with Old Dominion.  Here are some more photos from the concert.  Enjoy!
